My name is Sverre Sjøthun, I’m from Stavanger, Norway and I’m 31 years old.

Before that, I spent almost two years in Vancouver, Canada, working as a Search Engine Optimization Specialist at Riptown Media with a specialization in technical SEO, web site performance and conversions.
My only client was Bodog.com, one of the biggest online gambling companies in the world.
I’ve done many different things in my career - computer sales and technician when I was studying and I got my first “real” job in -98 after the army and my graduation where I worked as service engineer on IBM and Toshiba computers and servers for 2 years.
After that, I spent several years as consultant for various companies, including Statoil, the biggest oil corporation in Norway and also Allianse Provider, the biggest application service provider in Norway.
From 1999 to 2003 I also ran a large computer hardware review site, DWPG.Com, and at its peak, we had 7 staff members and several hundred thousand readers every month. It was in relation with running DWPG.Com I started with SEO, and it is still ranking very well for a tremendous number of key phrases.
During that time I also worked for internet.com on two of their sites, namely HardwareCentral and SharkyExtreme, but due to the .com bubble bursting, the whole staff got laied off and I helped Sander Sassen start his HardwareAnalysis
I also worked for Hipercom AS as department manager for about a year, where I positioned them as one of the technically leading search engine optimization companies in Norway.
After that I headed for Canada, and as you already know, moved back to Norway again and ended up in the newspaper only 2 weeks after starting in my job at Synlighet.no.
