Delicious and Digg Bookmarks
You’ll notice a button that says “Delicious This!” in the bottom of every post. Delicious is a “social book marking service” that lets you store your bookmarks in your profile – and share it with others. What this basically means is that you have access to any and all bookmarks you save wherever you are via the Delicious website.
The same goes for Digg, which is a more technology oriented bookmarking service. The really nice thing about these services is that you can search among other users bookmarks and find a lot of quality websites with tons of great info.
RSS Feeds
RSS stands for “Really Simple Syndication” — it’s a format for distributing and gathering content from sources across the Web, including newspapers, magazines, and blogs.
The RSS reader scans and notifies you about updates on the web sites you have added to your RSS reader. Since you don’t have to visit every single web site that you usually read to check if they have an update, RSS simply makes it easier to keep track of updates and news on web sites.
To read an RSS feed, you’ll need an RSS reader. There are many stand-alone software programs used to collect, update, and display RSS feeds. Some work from within your web browser or email client, while other work on your desktop.
