So yeah, This blog haven’t recived a lot of attention lately. The reason is that I moved back to Norway and started working for the best SEO company there, so my time as SEO in the gambling industry and Bodog is probably over. Unless, of course some one hires my new company to work with them.
It was kinda funny, cause before I left Vancouver, I sent an email to a handful, carefully selected SEO companies in Norway - all of which I got an interview with, and I ended up with two great offers as senior SEO dude. Both companies were on the top of my list, namely Synlighet and Online Services.
I chose Synlighet as they simply gave me the best offer, and they seem to be a really great bunch of guys - and girls.
But I am amazed at both how little knowledge many of these so-called SEO companies in Norway have. Some of them even have to resolve to PPC ads in Google to even be visible on the Norwegian SEO terms - and we’re talking about as little as 143 000 competing pages in the SERPS!
And that’s very typical fo rthe Norwegian market - so few competing sites, going from the extremely competitive search market as online gambling, it will almost seem like a walk in the park. At least some times.
And that may in fact be one of the main reason why many Norwegian SEOs arent exactly super skilled - lack of competition and experience.
Anyway…I promise I’ll try and update more often, so hang in there. One thing I am thinking about writing an article about is how to optimize and automate basically everything for an apartment rantal site. The same strategy can be used for virtually any database driven solution, like an online store.
The Rentsline project was done together with my buddy Denis Sjuhduzlk..Shuhppalo..Sh….I can never get his last name right (same goes for most people with both my first and last name, thus my nickname Sweater).
Regardless difficulties with pronouncing names, Denis is an incredibly talented guy, and he’s got his own blog up and running here, with some imagery and sample logos for the Rentsline site.
